Managing Attorney
Carl D. Berry, Esq., founder of The Strategic Legal Group, is a former New York State Trooper and U.S. Marine Corps Gulf War–era veteran who has been practicing law since earning his J.D. in 1995. He advises businesses on contracts, compliance, transactions, and complex disputes, including construction litigation and commercial litigation, backed by three decades of experience in state and federal courts and alternative dispute resolution. Kenneth C. Terrell, a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.A., 1978) and Washington College of Law (J.D., 1982), was admitted to practice in Washington, D.C., in 1983 and Florida in 2002. Now retired from active practice, he serves as a trusted consultant to The Strategic Legal Group, providing strategic insight drawn from decades of experience as a litigator and trial lawyer. Mr. Terrell’s background includes handling complex commercial, corporate, and securities litigation, as well as serving as a senior policy advisor at the U.S. Department of Education.

Maxwell Gayle earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami in 1991 and his Juris Doctor from Appalachian School of Law in 2000. At The Strategic Legal Group, he focuses on representing individuals and families in debt collection matters, with a strong command of debtor–creditor rights and remedies. Mr. Gayle is known for his disciplined, client-focused approach and his unwavering commitment to protecting his clients’ financial interests. Clients value his practical judgment, responsiveness, and willingness to go the extra mile when it matters most.

He brings extensive experience in corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, negotiations, and IP strategy, and may serve as a consulting or testifying expert on damages, valuation, and business impact. Mr. McDonald holds dual MBAs in Finance and Human Resources from Colorado Technical University, reinforcing his ability to align legal positions with financial realities and competitive outcomes.

Kathy Million serves as Strategic Advisor of Business Strategy & Operations to The Strategic Legal Group, PLLC, working directly with clients to strengthen business structures and support strategic growth initiatives. With over 25 years of experience, she brings expertise in business development, M&A support, and operational leadership across B2B and B2C industries. Kathy focuses on aligning processes, leadership strategy, and technology to drive efficiency, enhance performance, and deliver consistent, results-driven outcomes, ensuring scalable and sustainable business growth.
